CHAMPAIGN — An autopsy conducted this week on a Monticello man who was found dead in a car showed "no evidence of trauma or suspicious circumstances," according to Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup.
Final autopsy results and the cause of death are pending the results of toxicology tests.
According to a Champaign County sheriff's report, deputies called to the 1300 block of Comanche Drive, Champaign, at 11:37 a.m. Tuesday found a man unresponsive in a car that was parked in a driveway.
Sgt. Greg Mills of the sheriff's office said emergency personnel arrived within minutes to try to revive the man.
Northrup said Joshua Teague, 21, of Monticello was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday. Northrup said an inquest may be held at a later date.
The death is being investigated by the sheriff's office and coroner's office.
