CHAMPAIGN — Figure One, the downtown Champaign exhibition/project space of the University of Illinois School of Art + Design, will have a two-part conversation series starting this week.
The talks will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday and again Nov. 20 at the facility, 116 N. Walnut St., C. The first is geared toward university folks and the second toward the community, but anyone interested may attend either or both.
"This is an opportunity for our Champaign-Urbana community to come together and talk about Figure One as an incubator for active and educational arts experiences in our area," new visiting coordinator Rehema Barber said.
Some of the topics to be covered are how to make Figure One a better space for educating students and the community, what kind of programs people would like to be involved in at Figure One and what kind of shows they would like to see there.
