DANVILLE — The local indie film "House of Thaddeus" will be shown at 8 p.m. Friday at the Kathryn Randolph Theater, 601 N. Vermilion St.
The feature film was shot in the historic Virginia Jewell House in the 400 block of Hazel Street just north of downtown Danville.
Formerly owned by the late Gary Gardner, who plays Prescott in the film, the prairie-style house is a character in the movie, which features some of the best actors from Danville and Champaign-Urbana, among them Joi Hoffsommer in the lead.
The filmmakers and several actors will be available after the screening to discuss the film. The money raised by the screening will support the Red Mask Players, a community theater group in Danville, and to promote "House of Thaddeus," directed by Mike Boedicker.
DVDs of the movie also will be available at the screening, likely one of the only public screenings in the Danville area.
The doors will open at 7:15 p.m. Tickets at the door are $6; cash or check only. There will be general seating, and no reservations will be taken. The movie is not rated but contains adult language and situations.
