The fifth-ranked (Class 2A) Spartans (15-2) won three games in four days, including a six-point conquest of state-ranked Teutopolis. Five players reached double figures at least once, including Nate Michael and Brent Schluter in all three games.
ST. THOMAS MORE GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
The Sabers (21-2) became the area’s first 20-win team, rallying in the final quarter to defeat their third-ranked Class 4A opponent, Geneva. Tori McCoy had a double-double, and teammates Liz Bristow and Randa Harshbarger also scored in double figures.
ARMSTRONG-POTOMAC GIRLS' BASKETBALL
The Trojans (13-4) won four games in an eight-day span, advancing into tonight’s semifinals of the Vermilion County Tournament at Danville’s Palmer Arena. Senior Morgan Zindars hit 14 three-pointers (and 64 total points) during the stretch.

Broncos (13-4) extended their winning streak to seven, including coming back from a double-figure deficit against an Arthur-Lovington team that was undefeated in Little Okaw Valley Conference play. Connor Gross totaled 50 points for the week.
