CHAMPAIGN — The Champaign school district has rescheduled opportunities for parents to hear about the Schools of Choice process and to have their questions answered.
The Schools of Choice Community Forum has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. March 3 at Stratton Elementary School, 902 N. Randolph St., Champaign.
The event had been postponed due to inclement weather.
In place of a second Schools of Choice Community Forum, the district will also hold a series of informal "choice chats" at the Family Information Center (1103 N. Neil St. in Champaign) that will allow parents to drop by and speak with Assistant Superintendent Susan Zola about the process and receive further information.
"Choice chats" will be held: — 8 to 9 a.m. and noon to 1 p.m. March 5.
— 5 to 6 p.m. March 6.
— 8 to 9 a.m. and noon to 1 p.m. March 11.
"If parents are interested in school tours but are unable to attend the scheduled dates, they are welcome to call 351-3701 and leave their name and phone number," said district spokeswoman Stephanie Stuart. "Our choice liaison would be happy to work with your family to schedule additional school tours and answer questions."
