We're now less than three weeks away from next month's primary election, and one Republican candidate in an area congressional race said she would like for there to have been more than one debate with Rodney Davis.
Urbana native Erika Harold is trying to win the GOP nomination on Mar. 18 in the 13th District against the incumbent Davis and Michael Firsching. She said the district is going to be a number one targeted race nationally.
Harold added that people really want the opportunity to meet with the candidates and ask questions to see which person they can trust.
A debate was held last week in Champaign for the 13th Congressional District, but Davis was not a part of that forum. All three Republican candidates will take part in a debate on Mar. 10 on a radio station in Bloomington.
Harold made the comments Wednesday on A Penny for Your Thoughts on WDWS. Elsewhere during that interview, Harold said there seems to be a real lack of trust between the President and Congress.
She the lack of trust has led to the inability of President Barack Obama to work together with the House and Senate.
