CHAMPAIGN — The suspicious package reported at the Education building today was determined not to be a threat.
A bomb unit was callled to the University of Illinois building on Sixth Street to deal with the package, described as being covered in duct tape.
According to the Illini-Alert Twitter account, it is safe for people to resume their regular activities.
An Illini-Alert was issued shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Thursday that police were evacuating floors on the north side of the building at 1310 S. Sixth St., C.
