TUSCOLA — Two people who had been reported missing from their Indiana home were found safe Tuesday in Tuscola after a traffic stop in that city.
According to a news release, Douglas County sheriff's Deputy Lonnie Homann responded to a report of a car driving erratically at 4:11 p.m. on Tuesday and stopped the vehicle in the parking lot of an auto dealership in Tuscola.
The driver, Robert L. Hensley, 85, of Beech Grove, Ind., and his wife, Janet Hensley, traveling with him, both were reported to be disoriented.
Several law enforcement databases turned up no information on the two, but Homann called the police department in Beech Grove, southeast of Indianapolis, and found that the Hensleys had been reported missing.
Family members had reported them missing when they didn't return from a local cemetery where they'd gone to put flowers on the grave of a veteran for Memorial Day.
Homann drove the pair to the sheriff's office, where family members picked them up.
