URBANA — A woman in her early 20s escaped with minor injuries after rolling her vehicle on Main Street in downtown Urbana on Friday afternoon.
According to the driver, she was heading east on Main Street and making a left onto Broadway Avenue, said Urbana police Officer Dean Hazen. The driver in the four-door sedan did not see a minivan in the southbound left turn lane on Broadway Avenue.
"Ultimately, her vehicle just kind of drove right over the front of it and rolled over," Hazen said.
The driver of the minivan was uninjured. The woman in the sedan was taken to Carle hospital but only had minor cuts, Hazen said. She was ticketed for making an improper turn.
