Summer-like warmth [2] and elevated humidity is expected Tuesday in the wake of late Monday’s warm frontal passage and scattered thunderstorm clusters. A stout south wind and ample to abundant sunshine will push top temperatures to either-side of the 80-degree mark.
Meanwhile, that same front will begin a push southeastward as a cold front Tuesday night and Wednesday. This set-up will help to generate the next outbreaks of showers and thunderstorms [3], with some possibly locally severe [4].
Cooler, drier weather and more seasonal temperatures will then take over for Thursday and Friday.
Looking ahead [5], a sunny, dry start to the weekend is expected, but by Sunday, another approaching warm front will trip-off another round of scattered thunderstorms, with another push of Summer-like warmth ahead early next week.
