DANVILLE – College Express students will hold an art exhibition on Wednesday and Thursday at Danville Area Community College.
The exhibition will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and from 12:30 to 2 p.m. both days in Room 110 of the Bremer Conference Center, 2000 E. Main St., Danville.
A reception with light refreshments will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
The artwork shows a broad range of graphic design styles and techniques. Danville High School will have more than 20 students showing their work.
The artwork has been created by the College Express graphic design students as part of their course work.
The program includes instruction in layout and design principles, as well as instruction in Publisher, Pagemaker, Quark, and Photoshop design programs.
College Express is a Career and Technical Education dual enrollment program for area high school juniors and seniors.
High school students travel to the college each school day for instruction in one of 13 career programs.
Students receive both high school and college credit for the courses.
Most students who enter the program as a junior will graduate from high school with at least 12 free college credit hours.
The classes, books and fees are free to the students.
Each student's home high school district pays a reduced tuition for each student enrolled.
