MATTOON — A Maine woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash Monday morning in Coles County.
According to a state police report, Michael Mahar, 42, who listed an address in St. Albans, Maine, was driving a 2011 International truck tractor, pulling a 2009 Wabash trailer, north on Interstate 57 southeast of Mattoon at 12:20 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle.
The truck, which was in the right lane, entered the right ditch and struck a group of trees.
While Mahar was not injured, a passenger, Judy Mahar, 52, who listed an address in St. Albans, was taken by ambulance to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County for treatment for injuries, according to the report. No information was available on her condition Monday night.
Michael Mahar was ticketed for improper lane usage.
