DANVILLE — Police in Missouri have arrested a Danville man in connection with the shooting death of a Danville teenager last week.
Danville Director of Public Safety Larry Thomason said Alvin C. Beasley, 26, was arrested Wednesday morning by a police agency in western Missouri.
According to police, Beasley was charged with the murder of a 17-year-old Danville youth.
On Wednesday night both the Danville police department and the Vermilion County coroner’s office still had not released the name of the teen six days after his death.
Beasley is being held without bond.
According to a police report, police were called to the 0-100 block of Quincy Street in Danville shortly after midnight Friday to respond to a report of a person who had been shot. The teen was found unresponsive inside a home and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Vermilion County state’s attorney’s office obtained a warrant for Beasley’s arrest on Friday. No other details about Beasley’s arrest were available Wednesday night, according to the release.
