DANVILLE — The Vermilion County Anti-bullying Support Group will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the CrossRoads Christian Church, 3613 N. Vermilion St., Danville.
The guest speaker is Leslie Sconce, who has a master's degree in counseling and is the mother of two children who have been bullied.
One of them — Jesse Jennings, a local high school student — has Asperger syndrome, a form of autism. He also will share his experience of being bullied "for being different."
Vermilion County Health Care launched the support group in December to provide support, raise awareness and educate people of all ages on the effects of bullying and provide them with resources to help.
For more information, call Dawn Kime, Vermilion County Health Care's STD-family planning and anti-bullying coordinator, at 446-1100.
