VILLA GROVE — With the announced retirement of Superintendent Steve Poznic in June 2013, the Villa Grove school board is beginning to consider the process for selecting a new superintendent.
"I'm not a lame duck by any means," said Poznic. "There are still a lot of things I want to get done."
But he encouraged the board to begin looking at options and to set a time frame for the selection process.
The school board has asked Poznic to contact the Illinois School Board Association and another search firm to ask for presentations about how a search is conducted and advice they may have about setting target dates.
Poznic also gave a report on the newly formed Villa Grove Education Foundation.
