SHILOH GIRLS' BASKETBALL
The Raiders (21-4) won their fourth LOVC tourney crown in five years, edging Arcola 35-32 in the final. Shelby Smith was the only Raider to score in double figures in all three tournament games. Shiloh's quarterfinal win against South Piatt featured a season-high 12 three-pointers.
Coach Gary Cook's Bombers (15-2) won all six of their dual meets in a three-day span. Going unbeaten for the week were T.J. Jackson (106 pounds), Brent Lyerly (113), Chuck O'Neil (126), Kyle Powars (132), Seth Bowman (138), Deven McBride (170) and Tyler Ortmann (285).
ARCOLA BOYS' BASKETBALL
The Purple Riders (10-7) are hitting their stride, winning twice to extend their winning streak to seven games. Senior Brett Lindenmeyer had five of the team's nine three-pointers in a win against Shiloh and scored a game-high 19 points in a 54-44 victory against Villa Grove.
URBANA UNI GIRLS' BASKETBALL
The Illineks (18-3) seemed destined for their first 20-win season thanks to a three-win week where two decisions were settled by no more than 10 points. Jamie Blue averaged nearly 22 points a game for the week, and Emma Hoyer and Jaki Vipond each averaged more than 10.
