CHAMPAIGN — Police are investigating the armed robbery of a taxi driver on Champaign's northeast side on Thursday evening.
According to Champaign police, a man approached a cab driver at the corner of Sixth Street and Vine Street at 7:37 p.m., showed a handgun, took some money and a cellphone and ran away.
The cab driver was not physically injured, according to police.
