In girls' basketball
Urbana University High 58, Judah Christian 33. The Illineks rolled to a 16-2 first-quarter lead and stayed in command to advance to the championship game of the East Central Illinois Conference tournament at Decatur. Jamie Blue paced Uni High with 20 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and five steals. Emma Hoyer added 10 points, nine rebounds and five steals as the Illineks improved to 22-3.
Maddie Johnson led the Tribe with 12 points and broke the single-season school record for three-pointers. Johnson sank three treys, bringing her total to 41.
Champaign Central 75, MacArthur 42. The Maroons outscored the Generals 44-13 in the second and third quarters in rolling to a home win. Angel Jackson, with a game-high 14 points, was one of four Central players to score in double figures.
Centennial 63, Bloomington 34. Clinging to a two-point lead at halftime, the Chargers rolled to a 36-9 advantage in the second half for a road win. Stacia Simmons led a balanced Centennial attack with 14 points and also contributed five rebounds and four steals.
Mattoon 39, Urbana 15. Junior Karidia Shelby grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds for the host Tigers.
Normal West 46, Danville 36. J'Lynn Ayers scored 13 of her game-high 16 points in the second half for the Vikings in a home loss.
Normal U-High 58, Mahomet-Seymour 45. Maggie Schmidt scored 16 points and Maddie See racked up 15 rebounds for the Bulldogs in a home loss.
Pontiac 48, Rantoul 42. The Eagles built a 17-8 first-quarter lead but were unable to hold off Pontiac in a home loss. Rantoul's Hannah Wascher scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed 20 rebounds.
Schlarman 43, Oakwood 38. Tanna Petersak scored 21 points to lead the host Hilltoppers. Angela Elliott and Harlena Hardin combined for 24 points for the Comets.
Georgetown-Ridge Farm 54, Chrisman 33. Brittany Hay recorded the Buffaloes' first triple-double of the season — 15 points, 13 rebounds, 11 steals — as G-RF finished 8-0 at home. Callan Hall contributed a double-double (15 points, 12 rebounds) to the win. Sophomore Sarah Ellis scored a game-high 16 points for the Cardinals.
Villa Grove 45, Heritage 34. Ahead by one point at halftime, the Blue Devils outscored Heritage 25-15 in the second half to pull away to a home win. Amanda McCollom scored a game-high 15 points for Villa Grove. Dallas McCormick led the Hawks with 11 points.
Ridgeview 43, GCMS 33. Jenna Ayers had 10 points, seven assists, seven rebounds and four steals to lead the Mustangs to a home victory. Katie Massey shot 4 of 8 and scored a team-high nine points for the Falcons.
Bismarck-Henning 30, Armstrong-Potomac 28. After taking a 23-18 lead into the fourth quarter, the Blue Devils held on for a road victory. B-H senior Samantha Siddens scored nine of her game-high 14 points in the second half. Sarah Reardon led the Trojans with 10 points.
Shiloh 55, Arthur-Lovington 33. Larissa Moses scored her 1,000th career point and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead Shiloh to a home win. Moses finished with 21. Shelby Smith contributed a double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds) and Betsy Bogle had nine assists for the Raiders. Ashley Tabb had 12 points and four steals for A-L. Moses has 1,015 career points.
Tuscola 51, Argenta-Oreana 41. The Warriors bolted to a 16-6 first-quarter lead and survived a third-period rally by the Bombers to win on the road. Erin Weaver had 14 points and eight rebounds for Tuscola, while teammate Susan Ponder grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Hannah Millington had a double-double (13 points, 11 rebounds) for A-O.
St. Joseph-Ogden 69, PBL 48. The Spartans rolled to a home victory behind Josey Fruhling's 33 points and 14 rebounds. Erin Lemley of the Panthers also had a double-double (20 points, 11 rebounds).
Unity 54, Shelbyville 36. Bailey Walden was 9 of 10 at the foul line and scored 20 points for the Rockets in a home win.
Salt Fork 41, Westville 34. Emilie McFadden scored 11 for the Storm, outscored host Westville 13-4 in the third period. EmilEE James had eight points, 13 rebounds and three steals for the Tigers.
LeRoy 58, Flanagan 39. Ashley Walker's double-double (19 points, 11 rebounds) lifted the Panthers to a road victory. Shannon Steffen shot 6 of 9 and scored 14 points for LeRoy.
Clifton Central 37, CPCI 34. Amanda Montgomery scored 14 points for the visiting Timberwolves.
Warrensburg-Latham 54, Monticello 44. Tori Gadbury had 19 points and seven rebounds for the Sages in a loss.
Maroa-Forsyth 57, Sullivan 50. Emily Neuhauser and Brittin Boyer combined for 26 points for Sullivan in a road defeat. Azbije Sadikoska contributed 10 rebounds for the Redskins.
Iroquois West 32, Momence 29. The Raiders overcame a scoreless second quarter to win on the road. Jen Cox led Iroquois West with 10 points.
