Class 1A Regionals
Cerro Gordo 39, Okaw Valley 24. Six different players scored for Cerro Gordo during the third quarter, when it outscored Okaw Valley 16-5 to pull away to a quarterfinal win at Arcola.
Stephanie Shook scored a game-high 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Broncos. Teammate Arionna Gant contributed nine rebounds and two blocks.
Arthur-Lovington 48, Decatur Christian 21. Ashley Tabb scored all of her team-high 13 points in the first half, leading the Lancers to a quarterfinal rout in Arcola. Karly Goodman added 11 points for A-L, which led 46-9 after three quarters. Freshman Emily Seegmiller grabbed 11 rebounds, including seven on the offensive end, for the Lancers.
Villa Grove 54, Chrisman 18. A 26-4 first-quarter surge propelled the Blue Devils to a quarterfinal win at Hume. Kayla Dowler led Villa Grove with 15 points, while Courtney Helm contributed 12 to the victory.
Sarah Ellis scored 10 points for the Cardinals.
Heritage 58, South Piatt 40. Heritage rode a 32-14 halftime lead and a balanced attack to a quarterfinal victory at Hume. Led by Mariah Coleman's 15 points, five Hawks players scored at least six points. Alex Miller scored 12 points for the Wildcats.
Tri-County 64, Oblong 43. Kyla Skinner's 15 points and eight steals lifted streaking Tri-County to a quarterfinal win at Martinsville. The Titans, who won their sixth in a row, also received 10 points and eight rebounds from Abby Smith and 10 points and seven assists from Autumn Meyer.
Milford 60, Donovan 35. The third-seeded Bearcats advanced to the semifinals behind Ashlen Portwood's 14 points at St. Anne.
Class 2A Regionals
Watseka 61, Clifton Central 34. Sophomore Devin Curry racked up 28 points and eclipsed 1,000 for her career, leading the host Warriors to a quarterfinal win. Trisha Martin added 11 points for Watseka, which outscored the Comets 18-2 in the third period to pull away.
Nontournament
Mahomet-Seymour 78, Danville 70. Kristen Belyea racked up 29 points and Maggie Schmidt added 20 to lead the visiting Bulldogs to a nonconference victory.
Alexus Jimson-Miller had six three-pointers and scored 28 points for the Vikings.
Boys' basketball
Manteno 68, Iroquois West 63. The Raiders couldn't overcome a 21-9 surge by Manteno in the third quarter and lost at home. Kyle Pool finished with 23 points to lead four IW double-figure scorers.
Arthur Okaw Christian 73, DeLand-Weldon 50. Adam Beachy scored 15 points and Isaiah Lowry added 14 to lead Okaw Christian to a home win. John Becker pace D-W with 18 points.
