CHAMPAIGN — Noah I. Brown and Company will perform "A Symphony in Praise!" benefit concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Indi Go Artist Co-op, 9 E. University Ave., C, to raise money for the Eastern Illinois Foodbank.
All of the proceeds will go to the food bank.
A Champaign native, Noah I. Brown Sr., with his parents' and church's guidance, learned gospel music and began writing songs, wanting to make a music ministry a career.
He formed Noah I. Brown and Company; the group has performed gospel music since 1998 and has performed alongside gospel artists such as the Chicago Mass Choir, Vickie Winans and Smokey Norful. In 2006, the group released a CD titled "Grant Me Faith"; the group is now working on its second CD.
Admission to the benefit concert is $5; all ages are welcome.
