The next 5 to 7 days will feature unseasonably warm temperatures as the upper flow pattern will remain out of the southwest. Afternoon high temperatures will well into the 70s for the remainder of the week. The warmest day will be on Wednesday as we will see record or near record, summerlike high temperatures with the mercury soaring into the upper 70s to lower 80s.
A weak frontal boundary may bring some isolated showers and thunderstorms to areas north of I-74 beginning Wednesday night. The threat for scattered to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms returns over the weekend, as well, along with unseasonably mild to warm temperatures.
