Fiber optic work will squeeze University Avenue in Urbana

URBANA — Traffic will be reduced on University Avenue in Urbana beginning Wednesday for the installation of fiber optic conduit and hand holes.

A west lane of University Avenue will be periodically closed between Cunningham Avenue and Lincoln Avenue beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Two-way traffic will be maintained on University Avenue throughout the project.

The work is scheduled to be completed by 5 p.m. March 25, weather permitting.
