CHAMPAIGN — Champaign police detectives have released a composite drawing of a man who robbed a Champaign business last month.
The drawing is based on a description provided by a witness, according to Champaign police Detective Pat Funkhouser.
According to a police report, a man entered Security Finance Corp. of Illinois, 823 W. Bloomington Road, about 5:27 p.m. Feb. 24 and demanded money from a woman working there.
As the woman attempted to get the cash, the man hit her in the face, knocked her to the ground and took her to the rear of the building.
The robber then ran out of the building with the cash.
The robber was described as a black man between 40 and 50 years old. He weighs 180 pounds, is about 5-foot-5 and had a thin mustache.
The robber was wearing a black hooded coat, gloves, dark pants and dark-colored shoes.
Police said the woman did not seek medical attention at the time the police report was written.
