Incumbent State’s Attorney Kevin Nolan successfully defended his seat against challenger Tammy Baer, but it was close. Nolan won 54.2 percent of the vote, with 1,751 votes, while Baer garnered 45.8 percent, with 1,477 votes.
Nolan was elected for the first time in 2004.
“I’m happy with the results” of the election, Nolan said Tuesday. “I wish it could have been bigger, but we’ll take this result.”
