CHAMPAIGN — U.S. Rep. Tim Johnson, R-Urbana, has scheduled four town hall meetings in the next two weeks, two of which will be held in the congressional district he no longer will represent under congressional redistricting.
Johnson will hold a town hall at the Piper City Community Building from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, and at the Pontiac City Hall from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither community will be represented by Johnson if he is re-elected to Congress in November. The new 13th Congressional District that Johnson is now running in goes only as far north as Champaign-Urbana and as far south as the Collinsville and Edwardsville areas.
The following week Johnson will host a town hall from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 12 at the Monticello City Hall, and from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, April 13, at the Shilling Community Education Center at Richland Community College in Decatur.
