PHILO — A Villa Grove woman was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a car crash late Friday night in southern Champaign County.
Illinois State Police at Pesotum said the crash happened on Illinois 130 three miles south of Philo at 10:30 p.m.
Schrolie Burris, 36, was arrested for driving under the influence after being checked out at Carle Foundation Hospital. Her car, a Chrysler sedan, was found on its side.
She was released from the Champaign County jail after posting bond and was expected to be back in court later in the week.
Wow, what is this world coming to? Obviously some people still haven't learned the most basic truths in life....that driving drunk is not only illegal, not only stupid, but dangerous. I have no sympathy for this person, nor the countless others who put the lives of everyone on our roads in jeopardy. Shameful.
