CHAMPAIGN — A Champaign man was listed in critical condition Monday evening at Carle Foundation Hospital following a motorcycle crash over the weekend in Champaign.
According to a Champaign police report, Jeffrey Moore, 30, of Champaign was driving a motorcycle west on Harrington Drive approaching the intersection with Noel Drive at 6:30 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of the motorcycle as it hit one of the curbs at the intersection.
Police said the motorcycle went down on its side, slid through to the other side of the intersection and then flipped over several times before making a crash landing onto the grass next to Harrington Drive.
Moore was taken by ambulance to Carle, where he was listed in critical condition.
Police said no other people were on the motorcycle, and police do not believe any other vehicles were involved.
Champaign police said that Moore didn't have a driver's license and that the motorcycle belonged to a friend.
