CHAMPAIGN — A Chicago man who had more than 2 ounces of cannabis in his luggage at the Illinois Terminal has been criminally charged.
Illinois State Police arrested Durell Barker, 28, on Wednesday.
A police report said a sergeant who was at the Illinois Terminal in downtown Champaign smelled what he thought to be cannabis coming from Barker and asked if he could search his luggage.
Barker agreed and the trooper found about 75 grams of suspected cannabis, which Barker said he planned to sell.
He was charged with possession with intent to deliver cannabis and was told to be back in court June 12.
