SCHLARMAN BOYS' TRACK AND FIELD
With 10 of 11 squad members who competed scoring points, Hilltoppers went from last in the Vermilion Valley Conference the past three years to first place. Jesse Hahne set a record in the 1,600 meters (4:30.9), and Andrew Kelly (high jump) and John O'Brien (3,200) were also triumphant.

VILLA GROVE BOYS' TRACK AND FIELD
The Blue Devils ended a 57-year drought without a conference title in their sport, topping Arcola for supremacy in the Little Okaw Valley meet. The team had first- or second-place finishes in 12 of 17 events. Individually, Adam Crutchley won three events and Ryan Pearce swept the throws.
CHAMPAIGN CENTRAL BOYS' TENNIS
The Maroons finished second in the Big 12 meet, trailing Normal Community. "We made them sweat," coach Scott Davis said. Samuel Wampler won the No. 3 singles title and joined Ryan Smith for first at No. 2 doubles. Central placed in the top four in all singles and doubles divisions.
ST. JOSEPH-OGDEN SOFTBALL
The Spartans became the first area program ever to complete a 35-game regular season without a loss. Elizabeth Everingham won four games during the final week, including a no-hitter. Everingham, Stephanie Canfield and Abby Immke all hammered final-week home runs for the six-time Sangamon Valley Conference titlists.
