Mahomet: One of the area's fastest growing communities

   West of Champaign lies Mahomet, one of the area's faster growing communities, with 4,877 people. While Mahomet is best known for its high school sports programs, the village also receives thousands of visitors each year at the nearby Lake of the Woods County Park.
