Just south of Champaign is the village of Savoy, which the Census
Bureau rates as the fastest growing community in Champaign County. A
2004 special census listed Savoy's population at 5,606, and additional
homes are built there each month.
Savoy is the home of Willard
Airport, the University of Illinois golf course and a variety of
entertainment options, including a multiplex movie theater, skating
rink, bowling alley and miniature golf course.
