July evaluations: Top four prospects in Illini's sights

The July evaluation period tips off today. Here are four prospects Brad Underwood and his staff will keep an eye on throughout the month:

E.J. LIDDELL

The News-Gazette's All-State Player of the Year in 2018 tips off his stay at Peach Jam in North Augusta, S.C., at 5:30 p.m. today with Brad Beal Elite. The Class of 2019 prospect from Belleville West has the Illini, Missouri, Ohio State, Kansas State and others in hot pursuit as the ultra-talented, 6-foot-7, 220-pound Liddell has averaged 14.3 points and 5.9 rebounds in EYBL action.

KOFI COCKBURN

The Class of 2019 big man from New York will suit up for the Renaissance at Peach Jam. The 6-foot-11, 248-pound center has averaged 15.2 points and 10.8 rebounds on the EYBL circuit this year.

TRE MITCHELL

The Class of 2019 post presence plays for the Massachusetts-based Expressions Elite and the 6-foot-9, 245-pound center is averaging 10.2 points and 8.2 rebounds so far in EYBL play heading into Peach Jam.

MOSES MOODY

The Class of 2020 shooting guard from Little Rock, Ark., can fill it up from outside for Brad Beal Elite. Never a bad thing to have, especially since he's averaging a team-high 15.3 points and drained 43 three-pointers in 16 EYBL games.
