SCOTT'S TAKE: Sometimes you come to a realization. This week it was that Duke is, in fact, the top team in the country. Iowa State (welcome to the ballot, Cyclones) beating Kansas by 16 certainly helped emphasize the need for a new No. 1, and it was the Blue Devils. Duke has five top-40 wins and ranks second in both offensive and defensive efficiency. Traditional and advanced metrics love the Blue Devils.
