The day's NCAA guide: Second-round games offer intriguing storylines

College basketball writer SCOTT RICHEY spent the last two days watching basketball — all of it. Here's the must-see games on his schedule today:

Kentucky vs. Wofford

1:40 p.m., CBS

Wofford beat Seton Hall in the first round on Thursday night and the Pirates beat Kentucky earlier this season, so through the transitive property, the Terriers are primed to pull the upset. If it happens, it will come with Fletcher Magee lighting up the Wildcats from three-point range.

Florida State vs. Murray State

5:10 p.m., TNT

Ja Morant would have been must-see TV the entire season if Murray State played in, well, not the Ohio Valley Conference. There's no reason not to tune in now, as the future lottery pick is, in his own words, "not done yet." Florida State has the size advantage. The Racers have Ja.

Michigan State vs. Minnesota

6:45 p.m., CBS

Turns out the best way to get one Big Ten team out of the NCAA tournament is to make it play another. While the Spartans won the only other matchup between the conference rivals in February, that was with a healthy Nick Ward. The Gophers shoot it like they did Thursday? Watch out.

Kansas vs. Auburn

8:40 p.m., TBS

Just two teams that do it the right way with a Sweet 16 berth on the line. Oh, both teams have been embroiled in at least one recent scandal (and two in the Tigers' case)? Forget about Bill Self and Bruce Pearl. Watch for Dedric Lawson and Jared Harper instead.
