Danielle Vaji (RBI) and Nikki Simpson had two hits apiece for the Illini, and Kelley Wedel added a solo home run.

The Illini picked up a 3-1 win earlier in the day against Providence behind pitcher Jackie Guy (3-7), who tossed a one-hitter with seven strikeouts.

Big Ten honors Dilger. Illini senior Katelin Dilger was named Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Friday.

The Palmdale, Calif., native led Illinois to a fifth-place finish in the 18-team Eagle Landing Invitational last weekend at Orange Park Fla.

Dilger equaled her career-low 54-hole score of 221 to tie for 13th place. She was the Illini's top scorer in a tournament for the first time this season and earned the Big Ten weekly award for the first time in her career.
