Missouri rallies, tops UI at Busch

ST. LOUIS — Missouri maintained its mastery against Illinois at Busch Stadium, winning 5-4 Wednesday night for its second consecutive victory against the Illini at the home of the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Tigers (18-14) defeated Illinois 7-4 in 2010. Last year's scheduled game was rained out.

Justin Parr, Brandon Hohl and Davis Hendrickson each drove in a run for the Illini (18-13), who got two hits apiece from Parr and Willie Argo.

Engnell honored. Senior Kyle Engnell was selected as the Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week after his performance at the Stanford Invitational, the league announced Wednesday.

Engnell was the first collegian to cross the finish line in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, clocking a personal-best time of 8 minutes, 47.27 seconds. His time is third nationally and first in the Big Ten this season.

Engnell was seventh overall and recorded the fifth-fastest time in school history.
