Illini baseball left out

The Illinois baseball team was not one of the 64 teams selected for the NCAA tournament, which was announced Monday morning.

After being eliminated by Michigan State in the Big Ten tournament, Dan Harleb's team had hoped to receive an at-large bid. But Illinois was not one of the "First Four Out" teams listed during the ESPPNU telecast.

The Big Ten gained two bids, including No. 4 overall seed Indiana. The Hoosiers will host a regional at Blomington and a super regional if they advance that far. Nebraska also made the field as a No.2 seed in the Stillwater, Okla., Regional.
