The competition isn't over at tailback. Jason Ford made sure everyone knew it Saturday. While Mikel Leshoure rested an injured ankle on the sideline - he played only the first series before taking himself out - Ford played through his own ankle pain.

"I don't want to sit out," Ford said.

On Tuesday, Ron Zook said Leshoure is having a good spring.

On Saturday, Ford reached the end zone on runs and catches, including a tackle-breaking score early in the workout.

":Competition is a great thing," offensive coordinator Paul Petrino said. "That's when you get to be special, when you have competition all across the board."

Zook said the running back position remains open.

"Everybody wants to jump to conclusions on the running backs," Zook said. "I don't care who's in there. It's going to be a guy we can count on."

Zook could not figure out that Leshoure was his best back in 09. It looks like we are in for the same mistake in 2010. Welcome back to Zookball.
