Getting to know ... Ted Karras

Blogger Travis Tate caught up with Illini football recruit Ted Karras:

"The great thing about my family is that they said it's my decision and that they would support me with whatever I wanted to do," Karras said. "A few of them went to play in the pros, so it's not like they were totally tied to the University."

Most notably, Ted's great-uncle Alex Karras was a four-time NFL All-Pro lineman in the 1960s with the Detroit Lions who then went on to star in movies, including Blazing Saddles, TV shows, most notably as the father in Webster, and as a commentator for Monday Night Football.
