Asmussen: Let the watch begin
When the watch lists for the endless college football awards start popping up this week, you will see a handful of Illini included.
Honors candidates from Beckman's team include quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase, center Graham Pocic, defensive end Michael Buchanan, defensive tackle Akeem Spence, linebacker Jonathan Brown and cornerback Terry Hawthorne.

July 17- Biletnikoff- Top receiver
July 18 -Davey O'Brien- Top quarterback
July 19 -Doak Walker -Top running back
July 20 -Walter Camp -College player of the year
