Report: Nowicki joining Illini

Penn State offensive lineman Ryan Nowicki is expected to join the Illinois football program, the Arizona Republic reported.

The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Nowicki is an Arizona native. He was one of the players who contacted Illinois after the NCAA leveled harsh penalties against the Penn State program. Penn State players are allowed to leave the school and transfer without having to sit out a season.

Nowicki is no listed longer on the Penn State roster. He is the latest player to leave the school, which was hit hard by the NCAA because of the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Star running back Silas Redd has moved to Southern Cal and kicker/punter Anthony Fera is reportedly on his way to Texas.

Does anybody know who Nowicki is? Another website says he is a red shirt freshman not even listed on the two deep roster at Penn State. Sounds like he would be an awesome starter, at Coe College.

Need to change your moniker from Open Mind to Closed Mind....way to insult a kid who has had to make a difficult decision.....

Mr. Open Mind.

You should take the advice of Mark Twain....."It's often best to be silent and just appear to be stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt".

Mr. Nowicki was a 3 star OL prospect with offers from:

Mich,OSU, AZ, AZ St. PSU, USC, Boise State, Wash and Wash St to name a few.

I think we could use him but maybe you should be in charge of scouting and player development.

whoever disparaged this kid must have been a closet Penn State fan.
