Former Illini in the NFL update: Week 11

A look at how former Illini fared in the NFL during Week 11:

JEFF ALLEN and JON ASAMOAH, Chiefs. Allen started and helped Chiefs rush for over 100 yards, but QBs were sacked three times in home loss to Bengals. Asamoah (surgery on right thumb) missed the game.

ALAN BALL, Texans. Backup corner defended a pass and made four tackles on special teams as Houston improved to 9-1 with win against visiting Jaguars.

ARRELIOUS BENN, Buccaneers. Returned from shoulder injury, making three tackles on special teams in overtime victory at Carolina.

JOSH BRENT, Cowboys. Backup nose tackle had a tackle and deflected a pass in overtime win against visiting Browns.

JEFF CUMBERLAND, Jets. Tight end returned from dislocated hand and started victory at St. Louis. Caught one pass for 7 yards.

VONTAE DAVIS, Colts. Cornerback (left knee) was not active for loss at New England.

DAVE DIEHL, Giants. Offensive lineman got the week off.

KELVIN HAYDEN, Bears. Catch cornerback Monday night against 49ers.

MICHAEL HOOMANAWANUI, Patriots. Tight end saw action but didn’t catch a pass in home blowout vs. Colts.

A.J. JENKINS, 49ers. Will No. 17 be inactive again? Find out Monday night.

MIKEL LESHOURE, Lions. Pride of Centennial ran the ball 19 times for 84 yards and scored on a 1-yard run in home loss to Green Bay.

COREY LIUGET, Chargers. Starting defensive end had one tackle in loss at Denver.

BRANDON LLOYD, Patriots. Starting receiver had four catches for 45 yards in home win against Colts.

RASHARD MENDENHALL, Steelers. Tailback returned from foot injury and had 50 total yards (33 rushing, 17 receiving) in Sunday’s loss to the visiting Ravens.

WHITNEY MERCILUS, Texans. Rookie linebacker saw action but didn’t make any tackles in win against visiting Jacksonville.

BRIT MILLER, Rams. Fullback was inactive for home loss to Jets.

BRANDON MOORE, Jets. Starting right guard helped pave the way for 124 yards rushing, but Mark Sanchez was sacked three times in win against host Rams.

PIERRE THOMAS, Saints. Backup tailback had five carries for 30 yards and caught three passes for 28 yards in road victory against Raiders.

STEVE WEATHERFORD, Giants. Well-followed punter (check his Twitter feed) gets the week off.

MARTEZ WILSON, Saints. Reserve defensive lineman had three tackles and deflected a pass in win at Oakland.

TAVON WILSON, Patriots. Rookie defensive back snagged his fourth interception, returning it 20 yards, and made one tackle in win against visiting Colts.
