vs. No. 3 Florida

Wednesday, Jan. 2 (ESPN)

NIU, ranked higher BCS then the entire B1G!!!   If USF names Zook head coach, are we off the hook any $$$?? the high school coaches down here do love him

Yes, if Zook would make a higher annual salary at the new coaching position than he received here, we would fully be off the hook for the salary. If not, we would be responsible only for the pay differential. It would be in our best interest for the Zooker to take another coaching job. It would also be in our best interest for Beckman to take another coaching position, but I digress...

i'd like to get the old south florida coach, Jim Levitt to take over our defense... i think he's coaching linebackers a with the 49'rs

if there is such a thing as a perfect fit for Zook, it would be South Florida... he could rule the Big East... it 's realy the old conference USA now??

I don't know the details for the Zooker at all, but if he was/is on the same plan as Bruce Weber,we wouldn't be off of the hook, as it were.  Bruce got a payout from us(due in 60-90 days?) and then gets paid by Kansas State.  We can only hope Zook takes another job and gets us free from our obligation........I just don't think that's the case here though..........but I have to admit, I don't know................I also have to think that Coach Beckman is scrambling to find out, because if the Zooker is cleared from the books, that's a huge loss out of the way before he gets put on the scrap heap..................his buyout is "only" 400K/year...............for four years........he< Beckman, would be toast
