Illinois, Ohio State in primetime

Illinois will play under the lights at least one time during the 2014 football season.

And do so in the most impressive Big Ten venue.

The Illini will play Ohio State at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1 at Ohio Stadium in Columbus.

The game will be televised either on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.

Illinois has lost its last two games at the Horseshoe, with the last win coming during the 2007 season when the Illini knocked off the top-ranked Buckeyes 28-21.

No other Illinois game times for the 2014 season have been set yet.

A night game only counts when it's IN OUR STADIUM!!

We have had enough of 11:00 starts and "breakfast with Beckman" in Champaign.

The early starts were factors to many in our group who decided not to renew season tix after 20 years for some and 30 for others. Obviously losing and losing often with little relief in sight was the biggest reason but few if anyone likes 11 a.m. starts when you have to drive 2 or 3 or 4 hours to see a game. And games with a predictably bad ending.
