Illini land JUCO running back

Running backs and offensive linemen.

Two position groups the Illinois coaching staff wanted to address in the Class of 2015.

And two areas the Illini are stockpiling players at so far.

Illinois added its third running back to the class on Thursday afternoon when Sacramento City College's Henry Enyenihi orally committed to Tim Beckman's program.

Enyenihi is the 10th commit for the Illini and third junior college player, joining American River College offensive lineman Zach Heath and Iowa Western Community College tight end Andrew Davis.

He rushed for 645 yards on 139 carries last season at Sacramento City College, where he went after he played at Duluth (Ga.) High School.

Dre Brown from DeKalb and Reggie Corbin from Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., are the other two running backs Illinois has verbal commitments from in the Class of 2015.

But the 6-foot-1, 220-pound Enyenihi fits more of a power back role than the all-purpose backs Brown and Corbin could materialize into.

Of the 10 players Illinois has commitments from, nine are on the offensive side of the ball, and seven of the 10 are either running backs or offensive linemen.

Stockpiling players? Funny. Ohio State and Michigan and Nebraska and Wisconsin and Michigan State stockpile players. Illinois sometimes steals them out from under Yale and Toledo.
