Weekly Planner: Illini host Wisconsin

Nashville at Blackhawks, 7:30 p.m., Friday

The Predators have tormented Chicago for a few years now. This week is a chance for more redemption after Nashville ousted the Blackhawks from last year's playoffs. When the teams met on Oct. 14, the Blackhawks got the 2-1 win in overtime.

Wisconsin at Illinois football, 11 a.m., Saturday

While there is little hope of an Illini upset, Saturday's game against the Badgers is a chance for college football fans to see one of the nation's best teams in action. Alex Hornibrook and the No. 5 Badgers are 7-0 and headed to the Big Ten title game.

Lewis and Clark at Parkland men's soccer, 2 p.m., Wednesday

The Cobras three-peated as M-WAC champions, and are aiming for another Region 24 title as well. The last time these two teams met was a 2-1 overtime win for Parkland. The Cobras have been dominant at home this season. Expect the trend to continue.

Rochester at Urbana boys' soccer, 5 p.m., Tuesday

The Tigers advanced to sectionals with a 4-0 win over Centennial in the regional final on Saturday. Another strong performance from Magnus Parente will go a long way for the Tigers. Their ability to score off set pieces will also come in handy, too.
