Report: Illini suspend Boyd indefinitely

Illinois sophomore offensive lineman Larry Boyd has been indefinitely suspended from the team, according to a report by 247 Sports.

Illinois sports information director Kent Brown would not confirm or comment on the report Wednesday.

The St. Louis Trinity product was considered one of the top prospects in the 2017 recruiting class, and started nine games at tackle in 2017, earning BTN All-Freshman team honorable-mention accolades.

During spring practices, the 6-foot-6, 310-pound Boyd worked mostly with the second team.
