Guthrie falls off the pace

MADISON, Miss. — Billy Horschel shot a 9-under-par 63 in the second round Friday to take a 1-stroke lead at the PGA Tour's True South Classic.

Horschel played a bogey-free round and made eagle on Nos. 5 and 18 for a 13-under 131 total.

Matt Bettencourt was 1 stroke back after his second straight 66. First-round leader Jason Bohn also was at 12 under through nine holes and must finish his round Saturday morning.

Former Illini Luke Guthrie, who opened with a 65, was even through six holes in his second round and at 7 under for the tourney, which was halted by darkness. He will finish his round Saturday morning.
