Illinois Wolves coach Mike Mullins  said he's  proud of former player Demetri McCamey's progress at Illinois, calling himself the point guard's "biggest fan."

"I thought Demetri's gotten better every year since he's gone there," Mullins said. "To lead the team in scoring this year, I think he led the Big Ten in assists during the conference season. He was a player who wasn't a guard growing up. He wasn't a point guard which is the toughest position to learn. He's gotten better and better as time goes on. He still has room to progress. I think his best days are coming. He's a tremendous athlete. He's been a great asset to our program, him and his family and his younger brother (DeAndre)."
