2011 State Farm Shootout at the Hall pairings

Three Illinois recruits and five area teams highlight the 6th Annual Shootout at the Hall on Dec. 10. Tickets to the Shootout are $5 for students and children and $12 for adults and include free parking.  Tickets will only be available at the University of Illinois Assembly Hall Box Office. A look at the lineup:

12:15 p.m. — Rantoul vs. Chicago Hope Academy

Hope guard Jalen James — and Illini commitment — aid he liked the (fast) tempo of UI scrimmage Saturday. Keep an eye on Travis Britt of the Eagles.

2 p.m. — Peoria Manual vs. Springfield Lanphier

Illini target Larry Austin Jr. (Lanphier) competed with USA Basketball over the weekend. Wayne McClain loves it when his Rams come to town.

3:45 p.m. —  St. Thomas More vs. Urbana

First-year Sabers coach James Kinney inherited a good one in guard Jaycee Hillsman. Good to see a smaller school get a shot at a Big 12 program.

5:30 p.m. — Centennial vs. Chicago Curie

Shoutout's top prospect would be Curie big man Cliff Alexander, who has UI offer. Chargers always play well in the Assembly Hall.

7:15 p.m. — Niles Notre Dame vs. Crete-Monee

Recruit Michael Orris, the C-M point guard, predicted better-than-expected season for UI. Notre Dame has two sophomores worth watching.
